I signed up for the course after it was introduced to me at school by an HCC representative. I also wanted to get some college credits before I leave high school and this was a great opportunity. I liked the financial aid aspect of the TAP-NSF Grant. In fact I saw it as a gateway to get myself exposed to new things in business field, especially technology in business. I really like the group work because it often gives me new ideas on searching for information and learning new things. And through the course I did learn not only about the new technologies but also had the chance to interview an inventor, receive advise from my mentor and to make friends. My colleagues get eager to share in the Technology Assessment Program at HCC when I talk to them about it in school.

I signed up for the ENTR-915 “Technology Transfer from Invention to Marketplace” because I thought it was a general entrepreneurship class. When I understood what this class about I was a bit skeptical, but Mr. Swann keeps things interesting and helps me understand the material. Hearing his stories about his expertise in the Technology Transfer field is also a good learning tool.

Christine Schmidt:
I signed up for the class because I am interested in Marketing and for a more challenging classes. During the course activities I am not able to learn a lot more, but I am also able to use some knowledge I have from other business classes.
