My main reason for taking this course was to attain a better understanding of patent development, of technology transfer, and of Intellectual Property concerns in general. I would surely recommend this course to anyone truly interested in pursuing a reasonable understanding of practical concepts and key factors upon which successful business develop hinges in the progressively growing field of technology transfer.

HCC has a fantastic start in bringing the gap from laboratory to market. Many of my colleagues have not heard of Technology Assessment Program, until I describe it to them. A program such as TAP provides access to young peoples – many of which are interested in starting their own business.

I am currently a student seeking a career in business. I can see that the Technology Assessment Program is an opportunity that should not be missed. The real-life experience that it offers is top rate. The Technology Assessment Program is a great addition for students to learn about marketing research, presentations, and the processes that go into commercializing an invention. The expansion of the TAP will also ensure that Maryland always has a bright young generation of future businesspeople.
